KHS invests €20 million in site modernization
The KHS Group, the provider of filling and packaging systems, has invested €20 million in modernizing its headquarters on Juchostraße in Dortmund, Frg. In a bundle of measures underway since 2015, the company has built a huge, approximately 4,300 square meter product shop and fully renovated another.
Cardinal elements of the modernization included extending the product area and renewing the car park. At its production site on Juchostraße KHS has erected a completely new product shop. In an area measuring four,300 square meters, the system's supplier has now created weather condition that enable the relevant technology for container and pack conveyors to be merged and order processing to go more efficient.
KHS has also modernized one of the oldest product buildings on the company premises. With an investment volume of vi million euros for this projection lone the engineering science company has not only renewed the shop floor and roof; it also optimized its sail metal manufacturing department housed in the hall, incorporating new technology that includes a faster, more efficient fiber light amplification by stimulated emission of radiation, a combined punching/laser machine and a larger, fully networked sail metal warehouse.
For KHS, the modernization is a big delivery to the production facilities on Juchostraße, says plant managing director Joachim Konrad. "The Dortmund plant is extremely important to the KHS Group, also considering of its standing as our international company headquarters. With our investments, nosotros're making information technology fit for the future. This sends out a strong bespeak to the regional economic system."
